The bridge between the people seeking healing & the professionals who offer it.
“I’d never seen a site explain therapy in plain English before. Safeguarding Therapy made it easy to understand what respectful care should look like—and how to speak up when something doesn’t feel right.”
“I used to think asking questions in therapy was disrespectful. Now I know it’s part of being an empowered client. This site gave me both clarity and courage.”
“Before finding Safeguarding Therapy, I thought the confusion I felt in therapy was my fault. Their resources gave me language for what was actually happening—and the confidence to find a therapist who truly listens.”
Safeguarding Therapy is a supportive, educational platform created to help people navigate the mental health space with confidence. Whether you’re seeking therapy or offering it, we’re here to ensure safer, more informed experiences for everyone involved.
Safeguarding Therapy serves two main groups:
Clients: Individuals who are curious about therapy, are currently in therapy, or are healing from a negative experience with a therapist.
Therapists: Licensed professionals who want to uphold ethical standards and gain access to resources, community, and tools that strengthen their impact.
You want to feel safer, more informed, and more empowered on your therapy journey
You’re in therapy now but wondering if something feels “off” or unsure what’s appropriate
You’ve had a confusing or harmful experience in therapy and are trying to make sense of it
You’re just starting to explore therapy and want tools to ask the right questions and spot red flags
You value education, emotional safety, and a trauma-informed approach to growth
You’re looking for free resources to help you get the most out of your healing process
You’re looking for a therapist directory or to be matched with a licensed provider in your area
You are in a mental health emergency or crisis situation
You need clinical advice or diagnosis (we are not a therapy provider)
You’re under the age of 18 without parental or guardian support
You want someone to make decisions for you — our goal is to empower your voice, not replace it
You’re a licensed mental health professional in private or independent practice
You deeply value ethics, client trust, and integrity in the therapy room
You want to stand out from the crowd by leading with transparency and excellence
You’re open to hearing the client perspective in a way that makes you a stronger, safer provider
You want ongoing support, resources, and continuing education that’s not just CEUs — but real-world tools that matter
You’re looking for a professional community rooted in growth, accountability, and advocacy
You are unwilling to reflect on your own practices or believe clients are always wrong
You are looking solely for client referrals or to advertise your practice
You are still in school, in training, or not yet licensed (a student-tier may be added later, but currently this is for active practitioners)
You are part of a large therapy group or corporate agency where you have little control over policies or client care standards
You’re looking for a place to debate ethics instead of model them
Safeguarding Therapy is, and always will be, a free resource for clients and anyone beginning their mental health journey. Our mission is to empower people with knowledge, clarity, and confidence so they can get extraordinary results in therapy.
We’re also in the process of creating a dedicated space for therapists with tools, training, and support. Those offerings are still in development, and more details will be available as they become ready. For now, our entire client resource library and therapist tools are completely free to access.
Safeguarding Therapy is the bridge between the people seeking therapy and the professionals who provide it.
