After-Session Anxiety

Sometimes anxiety shows up after therapy — not during.

That doesn’t automatically mean something went wrong.

You might be noticing:

      • Unfinished thoughts

      • Emotional residue

      • Your system catching up

Before analyzing, try orienting:

What feels activated right now — body, thoughts, or both?

What feels incomplete — not broken, just unfinished?

You don’t have to decide what this means yet.

Noticing it is enough for now. If it helps, you can jot down a word or sentence and let it sit.
